$324.50The Story
A pocket dagger crafted during the Koto period has arrived.
Although the blade shows some minor imperfections due to its antique polish, the blade itself is sound. The jigane features an itame-hada grain, and the blade is characterized by a hitotsura hamon with a temper line running the entire length of the blade. The habaki is made of wood, leading us to believe it was added at a later date.
The fittings are period pieces, and the scabbard has a rare shape. We have priced this Koto kaiken very affordably, making it a great choice as a gift.
