The Story

Tomoyuki, whose real name is Miyagi Tomoyuki, was born in Tokyo in March 1990. He was influenced by his parents and watched many period dramas called Jidaigeki from an early age. He decided to become a swordsmith when he was in junior high school. His master was Yoshihara Yoshindo of Mukansa, who is praised as a genius swordsmith and specializes in the Bizen style and whose work has been exhibited at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. His style is characterized by intensity and sharpness. This sword has a dynamic construction reminiscent of the Suriage swords of the Nanbokucho period, with a large kissaki and a fierce saka-choji style hamon that truly stands out.
